The students were seen marching peacefully but chanting through the principal streets of Ahafo Hwidiem. The entire bring public watched in solidarity and their attention was brought to the serious issues affecting them. According to the Senior Boys Prefect, Yaya Sulemani, the following are some of the major concers that has to be fixed.

1. The girls toilet facility was in a very terrible shape. Girls in the School are at risk of serious health infections and safety risks.

2. The structural integrity of the boys dormitory is not in good standing. A death trap that can injure students or in worst cases collapse on them if care is not taken. Even with that the beds are not enough so many students have to sleep on the floor. This is not good at all he said.

3. When it comes to the main Classrooms, the Senior Boys School Prefect of Ahafo Hwidiem SHS, Yaya Sulemani raised concerns about broken desks and chairs and also inadequate numbers which affects them badly. A learning environment must be on that enhances the wellbeing of student but this is not the case in Hwidiem Senior High School, students lamented. They also questioned the use of Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) funds because they claim they have not seen any tangible benefits from the money collected over the years.

On this day, the Asutifi South District Chief Executive (DCE) nominee, Mr. Asabre Donkor, heard the plights of the Students and added that their concerns were legitimate and action will be taken. He also thanked the timely intervention of key stakeholders, including traditional and opinion leaders, police, and officers from the Ghana Education Service, for preventing any damage to school property during the protest.
